1838 Wallcoverings Wisteria Bloom

Wisteria Bloom | Heather

A stunning, large-scale floral mural inspired by an archival kimono, capturing the dramatic impact and breathtaking beauty of the original. Wisteria blossoms cascade from the ceiling, while chrysanthemums grow gracefully from the lush green grass, creating this beautiful scenic mural that can be continued along the wall. Heather and berry tones on a warm cream background. Consider painting the ceiling in one of the mural's warm colors for a refined look. Available in 4 colors: Alabaster, Heather, Pistachio and Dark Sage grey. One roll contains 4 panels (A, B, C & D) for the complete design. The design can be continued across additional walls by using a new roll in the same order (A B C D) until the desired area is covered. Depending on the wall height, the panel can be trimmed at the bottom to create the desired scene. Archival inspiration for Wisteria Bloom Mural: kimono, embroidered silk, made in Japan, probably sold in France, circa 1900. This beautiful mural is inspired by a silk kimono once worn by society figure Emilie Grigsby (1876-1964), whose enviable clothing collection was donated to the V&A in the 1960s. A wealthy and independent American from New York, Emilie was known for her impeccable taste and avant-garde approach to fashion; she often sourced her stunning wardrobe from renowned couturiers in London, Paris and New York.
