Peacock Topiary is derived from a V&A archive fabric dating back more than 100 years. A cheerful composition of manicured lawns, trimmed hedges, tulips and a proud peacock parading through the gardens of an English country house. A traditionally printed wallpaper that recreates the finely detailed stitching and impressive grandeur of the original. In monochrome grey, it gives this elegant pattern a contemporary look. Available in 2 colours: Monochrome and Fern. Archive inspiration for Peacock Topiary: furnishing fabric, Silver Studio, London, circa 1900. Founded in 1880 by Arthur Silver, Silver Studio was a design studio based in Hammersmith, London, that sold designs for furnishing fabrics, wallpaper, tablecloths, floorcloths and carpets to a wide range of commercial customers at home and abroad. The studio employed several designers, some of whom were well known in their own right, while others remained anonymous. Originally created as a woven silk furnishing fabric, the topiary pattern epitomises stately luxury and illustrates the stylisation of organic and natural forms that united the Art Nouveau aesthetic and was characteristic of English interior design in the early 20th century.

APPLICATION

1. Make sure the surface is smooth, dry and even. Fill any holes or smooth out any imperfections.
2. Use a professional vinyl wallpaper adhesive, such as Arte Clearpro.
3. Apply the adhesive directly to the wall. Butt the drops tightly together without overlapping.
4. Use a soft roller to prevent air bubbles and wrinkles.
Trim away any excess material neatly with a sharp knife for a clean finish.
