A simple, elegant striped wallpaper with small, delicate stitches that have a slight raised effect to mimic the texture of the original brocaded silk. The soft linen-texture print in the background further enhances the wallpaper’s fabric effect, once again referencing the textile origins of the pattern. For a soothing overall look in soft, classic Powder Blue. Available in 4 colors: Burnished Brown, Metallic, Natural and Powder Blue. Silk Stripe archive inspiration: pattern book with 314 pages of textile samples, London, 1770-80. Every pattern tells a story, and this elegant stripe, inspired by a beautiful fabric swatch from a merchant’s sample book, captures the essence of English silk production during the Georgian era. The original silk creation from the 1770s illustrates the exceptional skill and creativity of silk producers in Spitalfields, East London, which was long the epicenter of fashionable, high-quality silk.

1838 Wallcoverings wallpaper comes in standard rolls measuring 10.05 meters long and 52 cm wide. Pattern repeats vary by design and affect the number of rolls required.

METHOD
1. Make sure the surface is smooth, dry and even. Fill any holes or uneven areas.
2. Use a professional vinyl wallpaper adhesive, such as Arte Clearpro.
3. Apply the adhesive directly to the wall. Place the strips tightly edge to edge without overlapping.
4. Use a soft roller to prevent air bubbles and wrinkles.
Trim excess material neatly with a sharp knife for a clean finish.
Pair with our installation kits for the right tools and adhesive.

Application
This depends on the dimensions of your wall and the type of wallpaper (for example, with or without pattern repeat). Use our wallpaper calculator or contact us for help calculating the right amount.
For most wallpaper projects, we recommend Arte Clear Pro wallpaper adhesive. This glue is high quality and suitable for various types of wallpaper. Always check the specifications of your wallpaper to see if this adhesive is suitable. Unsure? Contact us, and we will be happy to advise you.
For the best result, we recommend making the wall as smooth as possible before applying the wallpaper. If the texture is too rough, it may remain visible through the wallpaper.
To remove wallpaper, you can use a wallpaper steamer or wet the wallpaper with water and a splash of dish soap. Let it soak for a while, then carefully scrape the wallpaper off the wall. Non-woven wallpaper is often easier to remove when dry.
This depends on the type of wallpaper. Many types of wallpaper can be lightly wiped off with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents. Always check the product information for specific maintenance advice.
