Breathtaking in its grandeur, the Moor Park Mural is adapted from a set of hand-painted Chinese wallpapers that once adorned a room at Moor Park in Hertfordshire and are now part of the V&A’s national wallpaper collection. Each element of the scene has been carefully reimagined from the historic wallpaper, refreshing the original while preserving the character and true charm that first attracted the 1838 team. Beautiful in its simplicity, this soothing Oyster colourway of neutrals and warm earth tones creates an elegant backdrop that pairs beautifully with dark brown, burnt orange and warm clay. Available in 2 colours: Prussian Blue and Oyster. One roll contains 4 strips (A, B, C & D) for the complete design. The design can be repeated to cover additional walls by using another roll in the same sequence (A B C D) until the desired area is covered. Depending on the wall height, the strip can be trimmed at the top, bottom or both sides to create the desired scene. Archive inspiration for Moor Park Mural: wallpaper panel, China, circa 1750. Hand-painted Chinese wallpapers appeared in Europe at the end of the 17th century, and in the 18th century it became fashionable for large European homes to decorate at least one room with authentic or imitation Chinese wallpaper. Moor Park, a country house with 38 bedrooms, was a showcase for this trend in opulent interior design.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Ensure the surface is smooth, dry, and even. Fill any holes or uneven areas.
2. Use a professional vinyl wallpaper adhesive, such as Arte Clearpro.
3. Apply the paste directly to the wall. Place the strips tightly edge to edge without overlapping.
4. Use a soft roller to prevent air bubbles and creases.
Carefully trim away excess material with a sharp knife for a clean finish.
