Calculate wallpaper with a half-drop pattern
The wallpaper in this example has a half-drop pattern. This means that every even strip requires an extra pattern. If the wallpaper has a somewhat larger pattern, you can count half a pattern extra instead of a whole extra pattern. In this example, for simplicity, we add a whole pattern to every second strip. What can help is to make a simple sketch where you draw the number of strips. Under the first strip, indicate how many patterns you need. In this example, that is 9. For every second strip, you add one pattern (or half a pattern if it is a large pattern). In this example, every even strip has 10 patterns.
