Lime paint
The authentic effect of lime paint
Lime paint is the best choice if you want to give the walls a soft appearance. Lime paint fits well with a bohemian, slightly Ibiza-like look, but also with a country or romantic interior style. And very nice: anyone can apply it! Lime paint is ideal if you have little or no painting experience. You can create various effects with it, and the result is always unique.
Applying lime paint
The way you apply lime paint has a lot of influence on the final result. You choose the effect yourself: cloudy, wild joint (criss-cross), or streaky. First, try out the different effects on a test setting before you start working on the wall, so you can see what you like best and have already practiced a bit. For the best result, we recommend having lime paint applied by one person and changing the position of the brush as little as possible.
LAB chalk
All 176 LAB colors are also available in our lime paint LAB chalk. LAB chalk is a sustainable, matte lime paint for indoors that can be applied in different ways with a block brush, sponge, or cloth. LAB chalk is breathable, mold and bacteria resistant, solvent-free, and 100 percent mineral. Lab chalk is even more matte than LAB wall paint (less than 1% gloss) and therefore ideal for masking irregularities in the substrate. Especially in combination with the color variations. For the best result, treat the substrate first with LAB chalk primer.
Pure&Original lime paint
In addition to LAB chalk, we have lime paint from Pure & Original in the collection. Fresco from Pure & Original is a 100% mineral paint with a very matte and authentic lime paint appearance. Applicable on ceilings and walls indoors (very matte: 3% gloss).
Combining lime paint and wall paint
Don't want the lime paint on all walls? Then go for a beautiful mix of different applications: all LAB paint types can be mixed in the same LAB colors, allowing you to add more depth and variation with the choice of one color.
