Go for walls with a tough concrete look  

Do you like an industrial atmosphere that still feels warm? Then choose concrete look: you give your interior a tough appearance without having to use real concrete. The concrete look effect is achieved with special paint that has a concrete-like texture. 

LAB cementum for a concrete look 

LAB cementum was developed for walls with a concrete look. This type of paint contains a fine grain, giving the walls a tough, lively concrete appearance. You influence how coarse or smooth the final result is by the way you spread the cementum yourself. LAB cementum can be mixed in all LAB colors 

LAB cementum over tiles 

LAB cementum is extremely wear-resistant, easy to maintain, and applicable on various surfaces. You can even apply it over tiles. However, the surface must be firmly fixed: the surface partly determines the strength of the cementum. LAB cementum can be applied anywhere: behind the kitchen counter, in the bathroom, or over tiles in the toilet area. Don’t forget to apply the transparent coating in these ‘wet’ areas; this ensures the walls are waterproof and easy to clean.    

Applying LAB cementum 

The LAB cementum system consists of multiple layers and products. With concrete paint, you always apply a primer first, before applying two layers of LAB cementum paint. The LAB cementum primer ensures that the concrete-look paint adheres well to, for example, plasterboard, gypsum blocks, Ytong aerated concrete, tiles, chipboard, MDF, plasterwork, and painted walls. Because you need to spread LAB cementum immediately after applying it with a trowel, it’s handy to work with two people.   

Tip: always make a test application with LAB cementum before you start. Applying it is not difficult, but it does require some practice. This way you can immediately test which effect you like best.
